Spring is a time of new beginnings, and on March 20, 2025, we are launching Step Forward: 1,000 Steps a Day for Unseen Victimsโ€”a movement to inspire change, raise awareness, and build a stronger, more connected community.

This campaign is more than just walking; itโ€™s about standing in solidarity with families affected by incarceration, making sure they feel seen, supported, and valued.

Why 1,000 Steps?

Every day, we take small stepsโ€”toward progress, toward healing, and toward a better future. Walking 1,000 steps a day (0.5 miles/0.8 km) is a simple but powerful way to:

โœ… Improve your health & well-being
โœ… Show support for families navigating the prison system
โœ… Raise awareness about the unseen impact of incarceration
โœ… Bring communities together through shared action

Why This Matters

Families of prisoners are often overlooked and isolated, struggling with financial and emotional burdens. Unseen Victims provides support, advocacy, and guidance to help them navigate these challenges.

By stepping forward together, we can break the stigma, raise awareness, and create positive changeโ€”one step at a time.
