A little bit of perspective…
Only 2 weeks ago, thousands of UK residents had absolutely no idea that they would be waking up this morning, 11-08-24, to an absolute nightmare.
Who could ever have predicted ….
That a group of little girls who were excited about attending a dance class the following day would be faced with unimaginable terror and that 3 of their friends would never dance, again.
That dozens of families will face a lifetime of dealing with traumatised children and be planning funerals for their babies.
That Grandparents and parents would be sitting down to Sunday lunch with an empty place at the table. That hundreds of mummies and daddies would be sat in a prison cell, head in their hands, sobbing about the reality of not being there to take their children on holidays or days out, for years.
That 779 (at this time) families would have had loved ones arrested and jailed and must sit down with their children and explain that a parent would not be home to celebrate Christmas and Birthdays, for a few years.
That household incomes would be halved (at best) overnight and that an enormous financial burden would be placed on them as they struggle to finance maintaining contact and visiting their loved ones in prison.
Unseen Victims absolutely condones racism and fully supports judicial process for those who break the law. As a community we seek to support ANYONE who is struggling with the arrest or incarceration of a loved one, for any reason.
